Monumental ClubMonumental Club was born in 2017 with the idea of filling the Monumental bullring with activities for friends and family. In the two days of Monumental Club you can enjoy a succulent offer of food trucks; family activities such as the music workshops and self-portraits by Big Mini; a market to promote new projects and sustainable projects in fashion, accessories, design, decoration, gastronomy and culture, and in which you will also find second-hand and vintage objects and clothing; and all this "seasoned" with a musical program that combines live music with dj sessions.

Why deny it, although the batteries are recharged, the response time is still limited. The energy flows slowly. Postvacational syndrome? Maybe not and all are always prevacational syndromes: we count the months that are left for the next holidays or the days that are left for the next getaway. By adjusting the system a bit, redirecting the energy of the warp engine to the conventional engine, we have started up. The result, here you have it. In this new season that begins we hope to inform you as always of the events that help you complete your agenda, to discover exhibitions, concerts, film festivals and unforgettable experiences, many times without spending money.

The north of Europe has burned, as well the south. And beyond. The thermometer rises steadily and paddle surfers have moved to the lakes of Siberia. Meanwhile, a handful of scientists monitor the permafrost of the tundra. The signing of international treaties is no longer worth as much as before, and strike here, strike there. Nevertheless, with the appearance or the certainty that the world swings on a tightrope, we go on vacation.

Shomei TomatsuFirst exhibition in Barcelona of the Japanese photographer Shomei Tomatsu (Nagoya, Aichi, 1930-Naha, Okinawa, 2012), whose work shows the key events in the history of Japan after the Second World.

Gala Salvador Dalí. A Room of One’s Own in PúbolGala Salvador Dalí is the first international exhibition dedicated to Gala, muse and artist who lived and worked with Dalí. Elena Ivánovna Diákonova, Gala, is also considered a key figure of the avant-garde of the twentieth century. This exhibition, curated by Estrella de Diego, shows the changes in the image of Gala through its different performances, reflected by Salvador Dalí's brushes; and also allows to know the evolution of the painter thanks to an important set of paintings and drawings. In this exhibition you can see 315 works (paintings, drawings, photographs and documents related to Gala, including handwritten sheets of his autobiographical project), and an interesting set of letters, postcards and books that is exhibited for the first time, as well as dresses and personal objects of Gala.

Black Light, secret traditions in art since the 1950sThe black light is about the influence that different secret traditions have had on contemporary art since the fifties to the present. This exhibition brings together, more or less chronologically, 350 works (paintings, drawings, audiovisuals, sculptures, photographs, books, installations, music, prints and documents) by artists as different as Antoni Tàpies, Agnes Martin, Joseph Beuys, Henri Michaux , Ulla von Brandenburg, William S. Burroughs, Joan Jonas, Jordan Belson, Goshka Macuga, Kenneth Anger, Rudolf Steiner, Alejandro Jodorowsky, Francesco Clemente and Zush. The exhibition also explores the influence of esoteric ideas in areas of pop culture, such as comics, cinema, jazz and alternative rock.

Pharaoh. King of EgyptIn this exhibition about the figure of Pharaoh in ancient Egypt, more than one hundred and fifty pieces of the British Museum's collection are exhibited; among all the pieces stand otu some works of goldsmithing, monumental statues and beautiful reliefs of temples that help the visitor to understand the real life and power of Egypt during the time when the pharaohs reigned (approximately between 3100 and 30 BC).

La Noche de San Juan (St. John's Night)The night of San Juan is a Christian holiday of pagan origin with bonfires, fireworks and firecrackers. Although celebrated the night of 23rd to 24th of June, it is associated with the summer solstice (June 21) and pagan rites, with bonfires, sought to increase the power of the sun on its way to the winter solstice. The fire, in turn, was serving as a purifying function in people who watched it. If you see a fire, stop and look at it. Today we speak of verbena de San Juan more than the night of San Juan because the protagonist is the festival. For the occasion we have prepared the list of the verbenas and bonfires that are held in Ciutat Vella and the Eixample.

Liceu a la frescaLiceu a la fresca aims to spread music and opera to expand the operatic culture of the citizens. The bases of this social project of the Barcelona opera are the dissemination, demystification and accessibility to this musical genre.

The Magic FountainsFrom this week until October 31, the light, water and music show of the Magic Fountain of Montjuic will also be held on Wednesdays.
